Phill is a solicitor who specialises in catastrophic personal injury claims with a value in excess of £250,000 for defendant insurers, usually involving high profile multi-national commercial clients. Phill has had day to day conduct of and has settled 2 cases in excess of £30M, and has represented a multi-national insurer in the Court of Appeal.
Phill is ranked as a “Next Generation Partner” in The Legal 500 2024. He was previously ranked as a “Rising Star“, “Key Lawyer” and “Recommended” in The Legal 500 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions.
Phill works with large composite insures as well as niche and London Market insurers. He has advised on new reserves in excess of £230 million and was instrumental in the settlement of more than £200 million worth of cases in the last 5 years. He is a specialist in cases with maximum severity brain damage, tetraplegia and amputation injuries. He is experienced in identifying and managing a range of liability and quantum experts throughout the course of multi-year litigation.
Phill regularly delivers training on a wide range of catastrophic injury issues as well Fintech, InsurTech, and E-scooters with the intention of raising awareness and how these technologies will change how legal and insurance industries do business. He is also a technical lead on automated vehicles.
Outside of law, Phill has a very energetic 2 year old and a 0 year old and and self built his family home in 2021-2022.
